WASTE PLASTIC CAN BE CONVERTED BACK INTO HIGH GRADE DIESEL FUEL

With buyers for recycled plastic (the kind collected from curbside recycing) all but disappearing from the world market, it’s time to explore more innovative ways to deal with this ubiquitous material.  One way is to render back into the hydrocarbon elements from which it was created.  New technology can actually render most plastics back into a high grade of diesel fuel that can not only power the machinery needed for processing, but produce usable amounts of fuel for generators and vehicles.

The conversion of plastic to diesel fuel is fairly compact, with the smaller units able to be shipped in a single container.

The facilities are suitable for light industrial areas as they make little noise and virtually no pollution. The only residual byproduct produced is carbon black, a marketable item that is used as an additive to strengthen concrete.

There are competing technologies from Germany, Japan and India.
