Blue Planet Foundation’s October Events

October 8, 2010

Teach Energy Now (TEN) on 10/10/10 - easy to remember!

Blue Planet Foundation’s T.E.N. Project will co-host 10 Hawai‘i Community Workday events across the islands, joining more than 6,400 groups in 180 countries for 350.org’s 10/10/10 Global Work Party. The hands-on activities—from energy audits to bike tune-ups to native garden planting—are meant to send a simple message to lawmakers: If we can get to work, so can you—on enacting bold energy policies that will effectively address the climate crisis.

Check out the various events that will take place at Hongwanji Mission School, Unity Church of Hawai‘i, and Hawaiian South Shore in Honolulu; Kalaheo Elementary School and Kanuikapono School on Kaua‘i; Kanu O Ka ‘Aina School on the Big Island; Moloka‘i Youth Center on Moloka‘i, Maunalei Gulch on Lana‘i, and the Kahului YMCA and Lokelani Intermediate School on Maui.
